Hungarian vetch

Vicia pannonica

Hungarian vetch is vetch species that closely resembles hairy vetch, with white flowers, slightly hairy stems and fine roots. It is very winter-hardy and protects the soil against weeds and erosion with its rapid, dense ground cover. Hungarian vetch can be effectively used in mixtures and are also well-suited for use as winter cover crops. As a legume, moreover, it is a nitrogen-fixing plant.
