Egyptian clover

Trifolium alexandrinum

Egyptian clover is a fast-growing annual clover that is reliably winterkilled by even the slightest frost. During the growth phase, it needs sufficient warmth and humidity to achieve high yields. Egyptian clover can be grown as pure stand or in a mixture with Italian and annual ryegrass, and is therefore extremely suitable for mixtures grown after early-clearing crops. The greatest energy density and digestibility is achieved at the beginning of flowering.
